The Mazda3 certainly packs more power than the Sentra. If that is not enough, Mazda offers two additional powertrains for the 3 Sedan, the most powerful being the turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces up to 250 horsepower and 320 pound-feet of torque. The Mazda3 is a lot more balanced and peppier compared to the Sentra. The Sentra’s powertrain lacks enthusiasm, and the power delivery is monotonous.
Coming to the interiors, the Mazda3’s cabin is more premium compared to the Sentra. The materials used are of top-notch quality. In terms of usability, the Mazda3 offers an array of storage compartments. The seats are comfortable and passenger space is also plenty. The starting lineup of Mazda3 trims gets cloth-upholstered seats while the higher trims are upgraded with leather upholstery along with power-adjustable and heated front seats. The Sentra also has a similar list of offerings. However, the quality of materials used is not noteworthy and this puts it a step behind. One commendable aspect is its cargo capacity which is slightly more than the Mazda3.
Sentra’s infotainment system is not as refined as the Mazda3. The touchscreen display’s usability is not well-rounded, and the interface is a bit outdated. The Mazda3 takes the cake in this department, thanks to a well-designed and executed infotainment system.
