Base trim levels possess up to 187 horsepower to start combined with the more-efficient estimated 28 Combined MPG. Meanwhile, those wanting outright performance can find it inside the turbocharged option. Higher trim levels will receive the SKYACTIV®-G 2.5-liter turbocharged engine that provides up to 250 horsepower and 32 ft-lbs of torque with premium unleaded fuel. It also comes with standard i-ACTIV® AWD capabilities – something also available to base engine models.
Despite the engine similarities, differences between the 2021 and 2020 Mazda CX-5 begin to show when it comes to features and trims.
