2018 and 2019 Mazda models with turbo engines
The Mazda lineup is potent, but it is not exactly vast. While there are only six models in the lineup, half of them come available with a turbo engine! While only the Mazda CX-9 comes standard with a turbo engine, drivers of the Mazda6 and Mazda CX-5 can upgrade their motor depending on the trim level they have. The Mazda3, Mazda MX-5 Miata, and Mazda CX-3 do not currently come with a turbocharged engine option.

Regardless of the vehicle, of the above turbocharged-eligible models feature the same turbocharged engine. This engine is a 250-horsepower, SKYACTIV®-G 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine with Dynamic Pressure Turbo. This is, by far, the most powerful engine option available in the lineup. It also doesn’t take much away from your fuel efficiency. Depending on your vehicle and individual driving conditions, you can still average up to 31 highway mpg even with this extra horsepower.
