Mazda models available with i-ACTIV® AWD
The current Mazda lineup is not very large. We have the Mazda MX-5 Miata, Mazda3, Mazda6, Mazda CX-3, Mazda CX-5, Mazda CX-9, and the upcoming Mazda CX-30. Every new model listed here except the Miata can be equipped with optional i-ACTIV® AWD. The Miata only comes with rear-wheel drive. But it’s nice to know that whether you want a compact hatchback like the Mazda3 or a midsize crossover like the Mazda CX-9, you can get the same drivetrain. It should be noted that the all-new 2019 Mazda3 is the first edition to feature all-wheel drive capabilities.

What does i-ACTIV® AWD do?
You may be wondering what makes i-ACTIV® AWD special. How is it different from standard all-wheel drivetrains? Well, for starters, i-ACTIV® AWD is not available on any other automaker’s vehicles. It is exclusive to the Mazda brand. If the system detects that more traction is needed at any given time, i-ACTIV® AWD will kick in. Using sensors, i-ACTIV® AWD can tell when you are on slippery or unstable terrain and it will activate accordingly without you having to do anything. Come on down to Tuttle-Click Mazda to learn more about i-ACTIV® AWD and other Mazda technologies. We will answer all of your questions so you know everything you have to know.
