What’s new on the 2020 Mazda CX-9?
Mazda is in the process of shifting towards being more of a high-end brand and the 2020 Mazda CX-9 is a big step in that direction. Newly standard features on all trims include a power driver’s seat, rain-sensing wipers, heated exterior mirrors, adaptive radar cruise control, and lane-keep assist. For the first time ever, the Touring and Grand Touring trims can be equipped with second-row captain’s chairs.
The same 250-horsepower, 2.5-liter turbocharged SKYACTIV®-G I-4 engine returns but this time it comes with a bit more torque. The torque output is up from 310 lb.-ft. to 320 lb.-ft. That may seem trivial, but drivers will notice a difference in their towing and carrying capacities.
