What engine does the 2019 Mazda3 have?
The new 2019 Mazda3 comes in four packages, not trim levels. Each package features the same engine. All models are fitted with a SKYACTIV®-G 186-horsepower, 2.5-liter DOHC 16-valve inline four-cylinder engine with variable valve timing. Each model’s engine is paired with a SKYACTIV®-Drive six-speed automatic transmission with sport mode. Every package above the base is also available with the company’s patented i-ACTIV AWD® all-wheel drive system. The 2019 model is the first one to come available with i-ACTIV AWD®. On the efficiency side of things, the 2019 Mazda3 averages up to 35 highway mpg and 26 city mpg.
